First of all please let us thank you for entering! It’s you guys that make the show what it is. We wanted to send over some information and guidance to help you get here, when you arrive and what to expect when you’re here.
The event is being held in the Premier Suite of the Bolton Whites Hotel. The address is University of Bolton Stadium, De Havilland Way, Bolton BL6 6SF. For those of you that use What 3 Words here’s that link https://w3w.co/scales.jumps.guilty Please use Car Park A when you arrive. The venue entrance is on the right-hand side of the stadium when facing the hotel and opposite the Bolton Wanders Club shop as you walk around.
The first thing to say is YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING A TABLE as Mutneys are supplying them for competitors to use! They are available to purchase after the show by either visiting the Mutneys stand or by using this link. The tables will be adjusted for you during each pre-judging session to your preferred height. Please be sure to get the right height as we will not be able to adjust the height during the competition part itself.
We have eliminated the need to ‘check in’ as we are letting you know the classes you have entered, the day & session it is on and your table number. There have been some minor adjustments since they were first published on Monday 16th May so please double-check below. There will be an information desk adjacent to the entrance to the ring should you have any questions over the weekend.
Please familiarise yourself with the competition rules that can be found HERE or on the EGA website. Anyone that does not adhere to the rules may find themselves disqualified.
Ring times for each day are as follows:
7:30am - Doors Open for Competitors
8:00am - Morning Session Pre-Judge
8:30am - Morning Session Starts
9:30am - 10 Minute Welfare Break
12:00pm - Morning Session Placements Announced
12:30pm - Afternoon session Pre-Judge
1:00pm - Afternoon Session Starts
2:00pm - 10 Minute Welfare Break
4:30pm - Placements & Awards - 5:00pm
ONLY DOGS FOR COMPETITION CAN ENTER THE PREMIER SUITE. It is your responsibility to keep your dogs under control and to make sure they do not urinate or defecate in the Premier Suite. The venue holds a very sizable cleaning deposit against this happening. So we implore you to only bring the dogs that you are competing with, that they are giving the welfare breaks that they need when not in the ring and that you do your utmost to prevent them from distracting other dogs that are in the ring. There will be stewards that may challenge people with dogs to make sure they are either competitor dogs or dogs being used in the education suite.
Here is a list of classes, which session the class is in and the judges for that class.
This may change due to circumstances out of our control.
Here is the plan for the table numbering. We have made a slight adjustment to the numbering.
These numbers are now final. The judging and scoring will be done by table number and not the name you are entered under.
We are no longer accepting any changes. This includes transfers to classes or other competitors.
Finally, we would like to thank all of you that have entered. For those of you entering for the first time we appreciate the courage it takes to do it. We think it is one of the best things you will do in your grooming career! Once you're in the ring and actually doing it you will feel brilliant!
Thank you all Team GBGS
